Blazers drop 2-1 decision to Jersey

The Blazers dropped their first round playoff game to the first place Jersey Pilots, 2-1 on August 3rd. The Blazers finish the season with 17 wins and 21 losses and a fourth place finish in the regular season for the Wolff Division. Stay tuned for more season ending news and notes from the Blazers. MLB holds 2009 First-Year Player Draft

The top 2007 ACBL prospect, RHP Ryan Buch (Blazers, 2007) landed with the White Sox in the eighth round and LHP Darin Gorski (Blazers, 2007 and Rockies, 2008), the top ACBL prospect in 2008 by Baseball America, was chosen by the Mets in the seventh round. Other past Blazers selected in the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft: Vin DiFazio (2005,08) 12th round Texas Rangers Kyle Davis (2006) 27th round Chicago White Sox Greg Folgia (2008) 40th round Cleveland Indians Mark Angelo (2006-08) 44th round Seattle Mariners Congratulations to these six players as well as the 21 other former ACBL players to be drafted this year.
