Allentown Defeats Quakertown 9-4

The Allentown Railers defeated the Quakertown Blazers 9-4 on Thursday evening.


Jared Melone (West Chester) had three RBIs for the Railers including a two tun triple. Kardar Namey (Saint Joseph's) had two hits for the Blazers including a solo home run. Chance DiFebbo (Delaware) added two hits for the Blazers.

The Railers top the ACBL with an 8-3 record while the Blazers fall to 5-7.

JohnPaul Bell (Bucknell) hit a two run home run and a RBI single to provide the offense as the Quakertown Blazers defeated the league leading Allentown Railers 4-1.

Jordan DiValerio (Saint Joseph's) picked up the win while Ross Mintzer (Rowan-Gloucester) posted the save.

Jared Melone (West Chester) provided the lone RBI for the Railers with a single to rightfield.

The Railers are 6-2 while the Blazers are now 5-6.

Corey Webb (West Chester) hit a three run double in the bottom of the 6th to give the Railers a 6-5 lead and Jared Melone (West Chester) doubled in Webb with the seventh run.

Tyler Guidos ( Mansfied) closed out for the save.

JohnPaul Bell (Bucknell), Ryan Malloy (Lehigh) and Dino Cattai (Chesnut Hill) each had two hits for the Blazers.

The Railers top the ACBL with a 6-1 record while the Blazers fall to 4-6.

Lopez drafted in 13th round by the Indians

Angel Lopez drafted by Cleveland, 13th Round
Catcher Angel Lopez (Northampton CC, Quakertown Blazers, 2016, Allentown Railers, 2017) was selected by the Cleveland Indians in the 13th round of the MLB Draft on Wednesday. Lopez was an ACBL All-Star for the Blazers in 2016 and played briefly for the Railers before the draft.

At Northampton this spring he hit .411 with 14 home runs and 62 RBI as the Spartans advanced to the NJCAA Division III World Series. For two years in a row he was the EPAC Player of the Year and a First Team All Region selection.

Allentown defeats Blazers 7-1

The league leading Allentown Railers defeated the Quakertown Blazers 7-1 on Tuesday evening behind eight scoreless innings of pitching from Chad Cooperman (Bloomsburg).

Chris Rebar (Kings) topped the Railers with a three run home run while Jared Melone (West Chester) chipped in with two RBIs.

The Railers now have a 5-1 record while the Blazers drop to 4-5.

Quakertown splits DH with Jersey

The Quakertown Blazers won the first game 14-8 as Nathan Sides (Alvernia) and Tom Nuneviller (East Stroudsburg) each posted three RBIs. Sides, Nuneviler and Kadar Namey (Saint Joseph's) each had two hits in the opener.

The Blazers lost the second game 9-4. Ryan Malloy (Lehigh) hit a three run home run in the sixth inning and had four RBIs in the nightcap.

The Blazers are now 4-4 while Jersey has a 1-5 record.

Quakertown Blazers sweep the Jersey Pilots
June 10, 2017

The Quakertown Blazers came from behind to win both games of a doubleheader at Memorial Park on Saturday.

The Blazers posted four runs in the sixth inning of the first game to win 7-3. Kadar Namey (Saint Joseph's) had two doubles and Tom Derer (NJIT) posted a double and single to spark the offense.

Mark Anderson (Lafayette) pitched six innings for the win.

The Blazers then put up five runs in the eighth inning of the second game and won 8-7. JohnPaul Bell (Bucknell) and Ryan Malloy (Lehigh) had two run doubles in the big inning and Bell had three hits and three RBI in the nightcap.

The Blazers improve to 3-3 on the season while the Pilots drop to 0-4.
